NC AgFest 5.22.10
After months of practice, we competed in the NC AgFest Competition. The North Carolina Agricultural Festival comes around once a year during the third week of May. It's a "Spring into Spring" festival. It's like the State Fair in the Spring. It was a beautiful day and we thoroughly enjoyed it! After competing against 7 other bands, the Lord blessed us with 3rd Place! So, Glory Be to God! Before performing, we had a short prayer, praying that the Lord's will would be done, and that He would receive all Honor, Glory and Praise. And HE did! We congradulate Sourwood Mountain Bluegrass Band for placing 2nd and McFarland Road Band for placing 1st! We also thank all of you who came out to support us! It was greatly appreicated. We look forward to playing there again. Below are some photos from today.

Six String Cafe 5.19.10
We were honored to have played in between 2 great bluegrass bands last night at the Six String Cafe in Cary. Lorraine Jordan and James King. After Lorraine Jordan and Carolina Road performed, we did a 4-song set. Our friend from Crown City, NY, Miss Dorothy Jane Siver, played with us and we thoroughly enjoyed having her! Carolina Road backed up James King. After James King's set, we we got on stage and did a finale of "Will The Circle be Unbroken". By that time, there were 4 fiddles, 2 guitars, 2 banjos, 2 mandolins and 2 upright basses! It was an AWESOME experience and we thank Lorraine Jordan for allowing us to play in between! Below are some photos from the night.

Fun in the Sun/Person Place
Saturday at noon, we played at the "Fun in the Sun" Festival in Franklinton, NC. It was very humid 95 degrees! But we had a great time, and also walked around and looked at the festivities and talked with people. Late that afternoon, we headed to downtown Louisburg to play at Person Place. It was a nice evening, we played 3 sets, and enjoyed meeting new people! Below are some photos our friend, Dylan Stone took at both performances.

St. Andrews Presbyterian
On Friday night, after a delicious BBQ meal at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, we performed an hour set from 8 - 9 p.m. We entertained the PrimeTimer's downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. We met some down-to-earth people and fellowshipped with other believers in the ONE TRUE GOD! St. Andrew's Presbyterian is located on Falls of Neuse Road. Please visit them sometime and fellowship with them! They'd love to have you!

Church of God of Prophecy
We played at the Church of God of Prophecy in Frankinton, NC on Saturday (May 1st). Unfortunately, Holly could'nt attend, but Virginia did. We did a 45-min set. We also listened to some other people incuding The Sourwood Mountain Band. The church had a yard sale, and chicken and dumplings for supper, along with some other snacks. All proceeds went towards helping the church. We look forward to performing there again!
